  Is the Emerald 360 Plus an i-Size car seat?

  Yes, it complies with the latest and safest EU R129/04 regulation, meaning Emerald 360 Plus fits in all i-Size compliant cars and has passed frontal and side-impact crash tests.

  What makes Emerald 360 Plus unique?

  Emerald 360 Plus is the all-ages car seat that's designed to grow with your children from birth up to 12 years (40 – 150 cm). With one-hand FlexiSpin rotation, everyday use is effortless. Thanks to the built-in ISOFIX base with 360° rotation, you can rotate the seat in any reclined position while in harness mode — up to 4 years old (105 cm). This makes getting your child in and out of the car quicker, easier, and more comfortable than ever.

  What is a Group 0/1/2/3 car seat?

  Group 0/1/2/3 car seats are designed to be used by children from birth (40 cm) up to 12 years old (150 cm).

  How long can I use Emerald 360 Plus?

  Emerald 360 Plus is designed to suit children from birth up to 12 years old. To ensure the safety of your child(ren) during the car seat’s lifespan, make sure that the product is not damaged and is correctly adjusted and converted in accordance with the length, age, and needs of your child.

  What's the maximum weight my child can be to use the Emerald 360 Plus safely?

  In harness mode (up to approx. 4 years old), your child can weigh up to 17.5 kg. In booster mode (up to approx. 12 years old), the maximum weight is 36 kg.

  Can I install the Emerald 360 Plus without the ISOFIX connectors?

  For children up to around 4 years old, install the seat using the ISOFIX connectors and support leg when using the built-in harness. As your child grows (from 4 to 12 years old), switch to using the vehicle’s seat belt. Even then, we recommend keeping the ISOFIX and support leg in place for extra stability. Handy colour-coded indicators help you check immediately whether the seat is installed correctly.

  What are the 4 different age stages that apply to this car seat?

  1. From 0 – 1 year (40 – 75 cm), with Newborn inlay in rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 2. From 1 – 4 years (61 – 105 cm/17.5 kg), without Newborn inlay in the safest rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 3. From 15 months – 4 years (76 – 105 cm/17.5 kg) in forward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 4. From 4 – 12 years (100 – 150cm), use in the forward-facing position, securing your child with the vehicle belt. The support leg provides added stability when installed or can be neatly stored away if preferred. At this stage, using the vehicle belt, the 360° rotation function is no longer available.

  Is the Newborn inlay included with Emerald 360 Plus?

  Yes, the Newborn inlay is included. With the Newborn inlay, you can use this product from birth, without needing to buy an extra infant car seat. It is specifically developed to protect your baby from birth (40 cm) up to 75 cm.

  How can I use the Newborn inlay?

  It is mandatory to use the cocooning Newborn inlay from 40 – 60 cm. From 60 – 75 cm, you can continue to use the inlay for as long as you like until your baby has outgrown it. The Newborn inlay remains in one piece, so there’s no risk of losing parts.

  What is the easy-in harness?

  Maxi-Cosi’s 5-point safety harness with easy-in feature makes everyday use a breeze. When you unbuckle the harness, the shoulder pads automatically spring up and stay in place — giving you extra room to comfortably position your baby or toddler in the seat. When switching to booster mode, the easy-in harness can be neatly stored in the back of the seat, without needing to remove the hip or shoulder pads. That means no loose parts and no risk of losing anything.

  How tight should I fasten the safety harness system?

  For a safe and secure fit, it’s important to fasten the harness correctly in the Emerald 360 Plus car seat. Simply pull the harness adjuster strap until the harness sits snugly against your child’s body. A good rule of thumb: if the harness is tight enough, you should only be able to fit one finger between the strap and your child’s chest.

  When do I need to switch to the forward-facing position?

  At Maxi-Cosi, we recommend keeping your child rearward-facing for as long as possible, up to 4 years old (105 cm/17.5 kg), as research shows this is the safest way to travel. However, if you prefer, you can switch to forward-facing from 15 months (76 cm). Once your child weighs more than 17.5 kg, the harness can no longer be used securely. That’s when it’s time to store the harness and start using the vehicle’s seat belt instead.

  When using the car seat in booster mode with the vehicle belt, what should I do with the support leg?

  When your child is over 100 cm or heavier than 17.5 kg, you can store away the harness and use the vehicle belt in booster mode up to 150 cm. Keeping the support leg installed during booster mode is optional but highly recommended for added stability and safety.

  Should I remove the harness when using the vehicle belt?

  There’s no need to remove the harness when switching to booster mode. The easy-in harness can be easily stored in the back of the seat, shoulder pads included. That means no loose parts and no risk of anything getting lost.

  When should I store the harness?

  The harness can be used up to a maximum weight of 17.5 kg (approx. 4 years) and must be stored away afterwards. The vehicle belt should be used from the age of 4 years onwards or once your child is heavier than 17.5 kg.

  Where can I store my harness?

  The harness, including the shoulder pads, can be stored behind the cover at the back of the seat. Once stored, you can remove one of the shoulder pads from the harness and attach it to the vehicle belt. For step-by-step guidance, please refer to the user manual or instruction video.

  Where can I store the buckle on my Emerald 360 Plus?

  The buckle simply lies flat and integrates into the seat for easy storage, while the shoulder pads can be stored in the backrest. Please check the user manual or instruction video for more information.

  Can I rotate the Emerald 360 Plus on the base in any position?

  Yes, when the car seat is in harness mode — both rearward-facing and forward-facing — you can safely rotate the seat in any position. From fully upright to fully reclined, the rotation remains smooth and secure.

  How do I operate the rotation function?

  When the seat is in driving position, you can unlock the rotation using the handles on both sides. In lateral position, there’s no need to touch the handle — you can simply rotate the seat with one hand.

  What is G-CELL Side Impact Protection?

  G-CELL technology is built into the side panels and headrest, where it absorbs impact forces and redirects them away from your child. This provides enhanced protection — especially for the shoulders, head, and neck.

  What does Eco Care mean?

  All our car seats are made with sustainable, 100% recycled Eco Care fabrics. You will get the same soft, comfortable, breathable properties you would expect from Maxi-Cosi, without compromising on quality and sustainability. The entire production process of our Eco Care fabrics uses 75% less energy, 85% less water and emits 75% less CO2. The fabrics of each Emerald 360 Plus contain 45 recycled rPET bottles (500 ml).

  What do I do if my Maxi-Cosi product needs to be repaired?

  If your Maxi-Cosi product fails due to a manufacturing or workmanship defect, we will either send you a replacement part or make a repair free of charge under our 24-month warranty or Lifetime Warranty. This also covers the cost of shipping. If the product cannot be repaired, or if the cost of repairing the item exceeds the cost of a new one, it will be replaced by another Maxi-Cosi of the same model and colour.

   

  If that is not available, it will be replaced by the closest model and available colour. If you made your purchase from a Maxi-Cosi authorized dealer, please take the item back to them to arrange for it to be repaired or replaced free of charge. If you bought it via this website, please get in touch with our customer care team. You’ll need your original purchase receipt and your Lifetime Warranty card if you are claiming under our Lifetime Warranty. If you are claiming under our 24-month warranty, you’ll need your original purchase receipt. Please note that repairs do not extend the warranty.

  What if I need a repair that is not covered under warranty?

  Repairs not covered under warranty include any damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, malicious damage, negligence, or if you do not follow the guidance set out in the user manual. If you bought the item second-hand you are also unable to claim under warranty.

   

  We’re committed to reducing waste and we want you to enjoy your Maxi-Cosi product for as long as possible. That’s why we offer a repairs service for all our customers. We keep repair costs as low as possible, but prices will vary due to the cost of the materials and the length of time it takes to do the repair. Repair rates can be obtained via your retailer or from our customer care team here. If the repair exceeds the standard rate you will be notified and asked for your authorization before we’ll proceed. We also sell spare parts, including replacement seat covers, which can help you to enjoy using your Maxi-Cosi product for as long as possible.

  How do I send my Maxi-Cosi in for repair?

  It’s easy to send your Maxi-Cosi for a repair. If you bought it from an authorized dealer, take it back to them. If you bought it via this website, please get in touch with our customer care team.. Remember, if you are claiming the repair under our 24-month warranty, you’ll need to show proof of purchase. If you are claiming it under our Lifetime Warranty, you’ll need proof of purchase and your Lifetime Warranty card, which was sent to you after registration.   How long will my repair take?

  We understand that life without your Maxi-Cosi product could be challenging for you and your family. That’s why we do our best to make repairs as quickly as possible. Our typical turnaround time is 2-3 business days, not including:

   

  • Special order parts, which require 7-10 business days.
  • Transit time, which may vary, depending on the destination.

  In some cases, we can get the repair back to you sooner. In rare cases, it may take longer. If you have returned your Maxi-Cosi product to your retailer for the repair, turnaround times may be longer.

  When you buy a Maxi-Cosi product from our website or your Maxi-Cosi authorized dealer you can be confident that it will reach you in excellent condition. If not, we’ll put it right straight away.

  We promise that if a Maxi-Cosi product ever fails due to a manufacturing defect or workmanship, it will be repaired or replaced without charge, or a spare part will be sent to you.

  What is covered under warranty?

  Our standard warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manuals.

  What is not covered by the warranty?

  Items not covered under warranty include any damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, malicious damage, negligence, or if you do not follow the guidance set out in the user manual.

  Examples of normal wear and tear include:

  • Wheels that have worn down through regular use.
  • The natural fading of colours over extended time and use.
  • Damage to the material as a result or daily use, such as rips, burns, holes, or worn patches.

  As part of our commitment to sustainability, we aim to help you extend the lifecycle of your Maxi-Cosi. So if your Maxi-Cosi product is damaged as a result of normal wear and tear or an accident, you can take advantage of our value for money repair service. We also sell spare parts, including replacement seat covers, to help your Maxi-Cosi product continue to be enjoyed for longer.
