Can I install the Pebble on the front passenger seat?
Yes, you may install the Pebble on the front passenger seat, but only if the airbag has been deactivated.
Can my premature newborn be transported in the Pebble?
We advise again using any kind of infant car seat for premature babies. The use of a car seat is not recommended until the child has reached a healthy weight of 2500 grams. However NEW GUIDELINES STATE THAT: ANY CHILD THAT IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE HOSPITAL MAY BE TRANSPORTED IN A GROUP 0+ CAR SEAT.
Can the Pebble or CabrioFix be installed in the car using a 2-point seat belt system?
The Pebble and CabrioFix are not designed to be installed using a 2-point seat belt system. These car seats may only be installed using a 3-point seat belt system (approved in accordance with the ECE R16 standard) or, preferably, onto the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix base, which is attached directly to the ISOFIX anchor points in the car.
Can the Pebble be used in an airplane?
Yes, the Pebble can be used in an airplane. The seat has special certification for this purpose (see the sticker on the bottom of the seat).
Does the Pebble sun canopy provide UV protection?
The Pebble sun canopy is made of black fabric that protects against both sunlight and UV rays.
On which pushchairs can I place the Pebble, CabrioFix or Citi?
The Pebble, CabrioFix and Citi, from model year 2001, and up can be used with all pushchairs from Maxi-Cosi (using the right adapters). From model year 2002, these car seats also fit on Quinny brand pushchairs, with the exception of the Quinny Zapp, on which only the Pebble or CabrioFix can be placed. It is also possible to place the Pebble, CabrioFix and Citi on pushchairs of a number of other makes. Ask your retailer.
Can 3 car seats fit on the back seat of my car?
Depending on the type of car, 3 seats may fit on the back seat. We recommend taking your car to the retailer to check this.
Why do I need a car seat?
The use of an approved child car seat is required by law for all children up to a height of 1.35 metres in the UK, and 1.5m in the Republic of Ireland. Car seats and boosters with ECE R44/04 certification meet the minimum requirements of this new law.
Is it safe to use second-hand car seats?
We advise against purchasing a used car seat. The history of a second-hand car seat is often unknown. In other words, you cannot know for certain how it has been used. Car seats that have been involved in an accident are no longer guaranteed to be safe. The car seat may also be damaged in some other manner or may be incomplete.
From what age can the support pillow be removed from the Maxi-Cosi car seat?
The support pillow provides your child with added comfort right after birth. There is no specific age at which the support pillow should be removed from the Maxi-Cosi car seat. This depends on the size of your child. Once you notice that your child is no longer lying comfortably because his or her head is lying on the ‘roll’, you can remove the support pillow from the Maxi-Cosi car seat.
Where can I find the integrated sun canopy on the Pebble?
On the back of the Pebble coming out from the rim you will find two small taps that are attached to the sun canopy. You can pull on these tabs to extract the sun canopy and attach it to the carrying handle.
