There are currently no standard applicable to learning towers. To guarantee that our Maxi-Cosi Toucan is ultra-safe and stable for children, the Maxi-Cosi product team has been working closely with the European certification committee to pass a battery of safety and stability tests.
Toucan was smartly designed to succesfully pass all those tests and guarantee children safety.
Should I always supervise my child when using the Maxi-Cosi Toucan?
The learning towers are fantastic to stimulate your child's creativity, curiousity, autonomy and motor skills. Along this discovery process, children aren’t always fully conscious of the existing dangers (ex: hot stove, knives, etc). To keep them safe from any accidents, the Maxi-Cosi Toucan should not be used without a parent supervision. This way, you'll keep your little one riskfree and you'll have your mind at peace.

How can I wash my Maxi-Cosi Toucan?
The Maxi-Cosi Toucan is varnished and painted to protect the wood. You can use a wet cloth to clean it safely. However, as the wood is natural material, we recommend not to use detergent or you'll risk damaging the learning tower.

Yes. Like any wooden products, the screws have the tendency to come loose after some time. We recommend retightening the screws every 6 months to ensure your Toucan is safe and sturdy.
Why can the Maxi-Cosi Toucan be used only from 18 months?
Your little one is curious to see what you are doing from very early on. However, to ensure your child's safety, the learning towers are only suitable from the moment they can stand by themselves and start walking. Waiting patiently for the moment your little one can stand steady on two feet will limit risk of falling.
Why using the learning tower mode rather than the step stool mode of the Maxi-Cosi Toucan?
The learning towers will give parents peace of mind as they offer a very safe and protected place for your little one to explore. Unlike the step stools, the learning towers have front, laterial and back protections to limit risk of falling.
