When do I need to switch to the forward-facing position?
At Maxi-Cosi, we recommend keeping your child rearward-facing for as long as possible, up to 4 years old (105 cm/20 kg), as research shows this is the safest way to travel. However, if you prefer, you can switch forward-facing from 15 months (76 cm).
How tight should I fasten the safety harness system?
To fasten the harness correctly, ensure your child is securely seated. Pull the adjuster strap until the harness fits snugly against your child’s body — no more than one finger should fit between the harness and your child.
How do I know if the car seat base is safe and correctly installed in my car?
The base is securely installed when you see green indicators on both ISOFIX connectors, the support leg, and the locked rotating base. You’ll also hear a clear clicking sound for extra reassurance.
Is it safe if the car seat base moves slightly when I shake it?
Yes, the seat and its base are safe if all indicators are green, even if the base moves slightly. Ensure all green indicators are visible for proper installation.
How do I operate the rotation function?
When the seat is in the driving position, you can unlock the rotation using one of the handles on either side of the base. When the seat is in the lateral position (facing the door), you can rotate it easily with one hand, without using a handle.
Can I rotate the car seat in any position?
Yes, you can easily and safely rotate the seat in any position, from fully upright to fully reclined.
What is G-CELL Side Impact Protection?
G-CELL technology is built into the side panels and headrest, absorbing impact forces and redirecting them away from your child. This ensures better protection for your child, especially for their shoulders, head, and neck.
What is the G-CELL Bumper and how does it work?
Mica 360 Plus comes with a slide-on G-CELL Bumper that enhances protection on the window side. Simply attach it to the exterior of the G-CELL panel for even greater side-impact force absorption.
One bumper is included and can be easily switched from left to right, ensuring flexible protection wherever you need it.
